Carol Thornton ~ Class of 1968
Carol Ann Thornton, born April 21, 1950 - died
Thursday, January 30, 2003, at her home with those she
loved at her side and family near by.
Carol grew up and lived most of her life in Richland.
One of three daughters she was preceded in death by her
father Edward E. Thornton and is survived by her
cherished mother Elizabeth Thornton, her two beloved
sisters Ellen Thornton and Monica Thornton Hayes ('65)
and brother–in-law, Michael Bishop. She also leaves
behind one son, Matthew Thornton, of whom she was very
proud.
As a child Carol attended Christ the King Grade
School and graduated from Richland High School class of
1968. She had many creative talents and eye for design
and was full of artistic flair.
Carol was a gifted cosmetologist and practiced
briefly in Dallas Texas, Renton, and Spokane, but
mostly worked in various local shops. A kind, generous
and loving spirit, Carol lived full passion and her
witty sense of humor and company will be sadly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM,
Saturday, February 8, 2003 at Christ The King Catholic
Church with a reception following.
