Katherine "Kathy" Gire Hurt, 55, of West Richland, passed away September 1,
2003 at her home. She was born on June 1, 1948 in Richland, WA to Lester Sr.
and Ann Gire.

She worked as a technician for G.T.E. and retired in November 1997. She was a
member of the VFW #7952 Ladies Auxiliary and a life time member of WOTM #1377
in West Richland. She was also a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Katherine is survived by her husband Robert at home, her mother Ann Gire of
West Richland, sister Ruth and husband Rick Yearout of Milton, WA, brothers
Bill and Marion Gire of Spokane, WA, L.L. Gire Jr. of New Orleans, LA, Ed and
Patty Gire of Richland, Terry Gire of West Richland, Laurie and Tim Larkin of
West Richland, Becky Myers and Rob Hurt, also step-grandsons Robert and
Mathew Larkin.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday September 3, 2003 at Christ the
King Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Donations may be made to the TriCities
Chaplaincy Hospice House 2108 W. Entiat Ave, Kennewick, WA 99336 or Christ
the King Building Fund 1126 Long Ave. Richland, WA 99352. Please, no flowers.
A private inurnment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
