Anthony “Tony” Barton Marsh, age 50, a lifelong resident of Richland, WA, died February 6 at Tri Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House after a January 29 heart attack and resulting complications.

Anthony was born to Pauline and Barton Marsh on January 26, 1955 in Richland. He was a 1975 graduate of Columbia High School and wore his class ring proudly. A 25-year employee in the 200 areas, he was a nuclear process operator on the tank farms, and at Waste Encapsulation Storage Facility (WESF).. A member of the Army National Guard, he was called into service in the aftermath of the 1980 Mount St. Helens eruption.

An avid reader and master of crossword puzzles, he and his best friend and coworker, Bill Cook, enjoyed many a long road trip on their Harleys. Bill says Tony was a dependable friend with a kind heart, always ready to lend a helping hand.

Tony is survived by his mother Pauline Walter Marsh, of Richland, and his sister, Mary Germaine Clizbe, of Klamath Falls, OR., his niece Anna Sisk and his nephews James, Christopher, and Marcus Clizbe.

In 1999 he was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Richland on Sat., February 26 at 1 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
